“Wormhole in one”

Films: Alien Monster (2020)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Eldritch Location/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average rhino.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Aliens have a nasty way of showing up when we don't want them to. And sadly, it's almost always the scary ones that are the most unexpected. While this one could have spent more time in the special effects oven, it was hardly an exception in terms of looks and power.

History: In trying to harness dark matter from meteorites, scientists ended up ripping a hole in time and space, allowing a beast from another dimension to enter our own. It almost immediately went berserk, killing indiscriminately as everyone tried and failed to contain it. It was severely injured, but it managed to retreat into the woods, and somehow manage to take on the form of one of some camping teens. With agents in hot pursuit, the alien is going to kill as many as possible to establish itself as the apex predator of this world.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After killing all but two, the alien is defeated not by the agents, but by the remaining two campers, who activate the portal and send the creature flying back into wherever it came. The Earth is saved!

Powers/Abilities: This alien has a rather resilient hide, telekinesis, a sonic scream, and it can zoom from one place to another in a mastery of flash-stepping. Its most striking ability is being able to assimilate and control others just by wounding them, though it can only do this for one person at a time. Both it and its host have fantastic regenerative abilities.

Weakness: Heavy artillery can weaken it, and it's hopelessly addicted to the meteorites that come from its dimension.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Let's be frank, this thing has some awful CGI holding it back, and even its more practical host bodies, while unnerving, have a sort of cheesy look to them. But aside from that, DEAR LORD, this thing is hideous! Whatever the Hell this extraterrestrial is, its powers and bloodlust are not to be underestimated. If only the budget were higher...

Trivia: -Oddly, this monster bears a strong resemblance to the Gorgon from 2015's "Evolve", a video game all about alien monsters. Sadly, said game, in spite of all its interesting ideas, met a swift downfall due to some stupid DLC practices.

-Nothing much else to say.
